LED C9 bulbs by the pack and case
Wholesale C9 Bulbs sells LED C9 retrofit bulbs in two quantities: 25-packs for re-lamps and small runs, and 500-count cases for full rooflines and commercial buildings. Both standard LED C9 bulbs and Minleon LED C9 bulbs are available in each quantity. Prices are listed on every product and apply to every buyer, with no application or login. Shipping is free on all orders with no minimum, and every order ships the same day.
What makes a C9 bulb
A C9 bulb is about 1 1/8 in. across at its widest point, on an E17 intermediate screw base. That base fits every C9 socket on standard socket wire, so LED C9 bulbs screw into existing C9 runs as well as new ones. C9 is the size used on rooflines, commercial buildings and anything viewed from the street. The smaller C7 uses an E12 candelabra base and isn't interchangeable.
Lens styles
Faceted lenses have cut surfaces that scatter light and give each bulb a sparkle from a distance. Smooth lenses give an even, solid glow and a cleaner line. Use one style per building so every run matches from the street.
Color temperature
LED C9 bulbs are labeled by color temperature. Sun warm white is the most amber and closest to incandescent. Warm white is the traditional soft white. Pure white is neutral, and cool white has a blue tint. Red, green, blue, orange, yellow and purple are available for color patterns. On re-lamps, matching the color temperature of the existing run is what makes a replaced bulb disappear.
How many bulbs a run needs
One bulb per socket. At 12 in. spacing a 500-count case fills 500 ft. of socket wire; at 15 in., 625 ft.; at 24 in., 1,000 ft. For a roofline, total the footage, multiply by 12 and divide by the spacing in inches. Add a few spares per color for breakage.
What the bulbs run on
C9 bulbs install on C9 socket wire, sold on 1,000 ft. spools at 12 in. and 24 in. spacing and as a 12/15 in. SPT-2 spool. Each socket mounts with a clip matched to the surface: O-clips for gutters, all-in-one clips for shingles and gutters, ridge clips for peaks, magnet clips for metal. C9 installation kits combine wire, bulbs, plugs and clips sized from 250 to 4,000 ft.
Re-lamping existing runs
Most returning displays need some bulbs replaced each season. Re-lamps go faster when the replacement stock matches the run exactly: the same option name, the same kelvin range and the same lens style. Keeping a 25-pack of each white you install on the truck covers most re-lamps, and a damaged socket can be swapped with a C9 replacement socket instead of cutting a new run.
Returns
Unused bulbs in original, intact packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. There are no fees, and orders ship within the United States.

C9 bulb specifications
Every LED C9 bulb on this site shares the same physical standard, so the choices that matter are lens style, color temperature and quantity. This guide covers the specifications installers check when ordering C9 bulbs for a new roofline or matching an existing one.
Size and base
- Bulb shape: C9, a cone-shaped bulb about 1 1/8 in. across at its widest point.
- Base: E17 intermediate screw base. It fits every standard C9 socket, on new socket wire and on older C9 strings.
- Not interchangeable with C7: C7 bulbs are smaller and use the E12 candelabra base. A C7 won't seat in a C9 socket, and a C9 won't fit a C7 socket.
- Retrofit: LED C9 bulbs replace incandescent C9 bulbs directly in the same sockets. LED draws far less power, so more sockets run on one circuit.
Lens style
Faceted lenses have cut surfaces that break the light into points, so each bulb sparkles when viewed from the street. Smooth lenses give an even glow and a cleaner, more uniform line. The base and size are identical, so lens style is purely about the look. Pick one per building: mixing faceted and smooth on the same roofline is visible from a distance.
Color temperature
White LED C9 bulbs are labeled by color temperature in kelvin (K). Lower numbers are warmer and more amber; higher numbers are cooler and bluer. The standard LED C9 bulbs come in these whites:
| Option | Range | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Sun warm white | 2600–2800K | Most amber; the closest match to an incandescent C9. Common on traditional homes and historic buildings. |
| Warm white | 2800–3200K | The traditional soft white used on most residential rooflines. |
| Winter warm white | about 2900K | Sits between sun warm and warm white. |
| Pure white | about 4200K | Neutral white without amber or blue. Common on modern and commercial buildings. |
| Cool white | 5900–6900K | A blue-tinted white that reads as icy from a distance. |
| Cool white #2 | about 8500K | A stronger blue tint than standard cool white. |
Colors are offered too: red, green, blue, orange, yellow and purple. Minleon LED C9 bulbs list their own color temperature ranges on the product page, so when re-lamping a Minleon run, order Minleon bulbs in the same listed range.
Matching an existing run
The most common re-lamp mistake is a close-but-different white. A 2900K bulb dropped into a 2700K run shows as a whiter dot from the street. Before ordering re-lamp stock, check the case label or order record for the exact option name and kelvin range, and order that option.
Quantity math
One bulb per socket. A 500-count case fills:
- 12 in. spacing: 500 ft. of socket wire
- 15 in. spacing: 625 ft.
- 24 in. spacing: 1,000 ft.
For a roofline, multiply total feet by 12 and divide by the spacing in inches. Add a few spares per color for breakage during install.
Pack or case
LED C9 bulbs in 25-packs are $19.95, or $0.798 per bulb. 500-count cases are $319, or $0.638 per bulb. The case works out 20% lower per bulb.
Minleon LED C9 bulbs are $22.22 per 25-pack and $399 per 500-count case ($0.798 per bulb).
Packs suit re-lamps, colors used on one job, and keeping each color temperature on hand. Cases suit full rooflines and commercial buildings, where one case covers hundreds of feet in a single color.
Storage between seasons
Bulbs can stay in their sockets if runs are coiled loosely. Otherwise store them in labeled bins by color temperature and lens style, with the original case label, so the next order matches.
Questions
Do LED C9 bulbs fit incandescent C9 sockets?
Yes. LED C9 retrofit bulbs use the same E17 intermediate base as incandescent C9 bulbs, so they screw into any standard C9 socket wire or older C9 strings.
What's the difference between faceted and smooth C9 bulbs?
Faceted lenses have cut surfaces that scatter light for a sparkling look from a distance. Smooth lenses give an even glow and a cleaner line. The bulb size and base are the same.
What are Minleon LED C9 bulbs?
Minleon is a brand of LED C9 retrofit bulb on the standard E17 base. They're sold in 25-packs and 500-count cases alongside the standard LED C9 bulbs.
How many C9 bulbs come in a case?
500. That fills 500 ft. of 12 in. spacing socket wire, 625 ft. at 15 in., or 1,000 ft. at 24 in.
Can I mix bulb colors on one run?
Yes. Every socket takes any C9 bulb, so patterns such as red and white or alternating colors are set by the order the bulbs are screwed in. Order each color in the count the pattern needs.
What's the difference between C9 and C7 bulbs?
C9 bulbs are the larger of the two, about 1⅛ in. across on an E17 intermediate base, and are the standard for rooflines and commercial displays viewed from the street. C7 bulbs are smaller, on an E12 candelabra base, and suit close-viewed spaces like porches, railings and walkways.
What are sun warm, warm, pure and cool white?
They describe color temperature. Sun warm white (about 2600–2800K) is the most amber, closest to incandescent. Warm white (about 2800–3200K) is the traditional soft white. Pure white (about 4000–4200K) is neutral, and cool white (5900K and up) has a blue tint.
How many bulbs do I need for a roofline?
Convert the run length to inches and divide by the socket spacing. A 100 ft. roofline is 1,200 in.; at 12 in. spacing that's 100 sockets and 100 bulbs, and at 15 in. spacing it's 80.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on all orders to the contiguous United States, with no order minimum.
When will my order ship?
Every order ships the same day it's placed, whatever time you order. There's no cutoff.
Can I return items I don't use?
Yes. Unused, uninstalled product in its original, intact packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Request the return before shipping anything back.
